Mann Ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on many important topics in his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at 11 am today. PM also wished the countrymen on Chhath.

Mann Ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today at 11 am through his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’. This is the 127th episode of Mann Ki Baat program. PM Modi spoke on many important issues in Mann Ki Baat, BJP President JP Nadda and Basuri Swaraj listened to the program with booth workers in Delhi. The PM first greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Chhath festival. After this he talked about the plastic removal campaign of Ambikapur Municipal Corporation.

PM praised Ambikapur

Praising Ambikapur Municipal Corporation, PM Modi said, “Garbage cafes are being run in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh. These are such cafes where you get a full meal in exchange of plastic waste. If someone brings more than one kilogram of plastic, he is given lunch or dinner and if he brings half a kilogram of plastic, he gets breakfast. These cafes are run by Ambikapur Municipal Corporation.”

Talk on importance of mangroves

In the Mann Ki Baat programme, Prime Minister Modi said, “Just as there are forests in the mountains and plains that hold the soil together, similarly the mangroves on the sea coast are equally important. Mangroves grow in brackish water and marshy lands and are an important part of the marine ecosystem. These mangroves prove to be of great help during disasters like tsunami or cyclone.”

Praised the dog named Riya

Prime Minister Modi said, “Last year, at the All India Police Duty Meet in Lucknow, a dog named Riya attracted everyone’s attention. She is of the Mudhol Hound breed trained by BSF. Riya won the first prize by defeating dogs of many foreign breeds. Last year, a dog of CRPF had detected 8 kg of explosives while patrolling in a Maoist-affected area of Chhattisgarh. I am in this direction with BSF and CRPF’s I congratulate him for his efforts.”

PM Modi spoke about Sardar Patel

On the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Deputy Prime Minister of India, PM Modi said, “Sardar Patel is one of the greatest personalities of the nation in modern times. He studied both in India and Britain. He was one of the most successful lawyers of his time. Inspired by Gandhiji, he dedicated himself to the freedom movement. From Kheda Satyagraha to Borsad, he contributed to many movements.
