Russo-Ukrainian War: After entering its fourth year, Russia has changed its war strategy. Russian forces are now attacking Ukraine’s infrastructure and causing heavy damage to its power plants.
Russo-Ukrainian War : The Russia-Ukraine war has entered its fourth year, but there is no word yet on its end. Although a ceasefire was agreed for a few days in between, the war is not ending completely. Meanwhile, two people died in a Russian drone attack in south-western Odessa region of Ukraine. A Russian drone struck a car park in the Odessa region on Ukraine’s Black Sea coast early Sunday, killing two people and seriously injuring three, according to the state emergency service. Let us tell you that for the past few days, Russia and Ukraine have been targeting and attacking each other’s infrastructure.
Electricity supplied to thousands of people’s homes
Till Sunday night, Russia launched fierce attacks with drones and missiles in the Zaporizhia region and thousands of people lost electricity to their homes. Regional Governor Fedorov said that the attacks disrupted electricity supply to about 60 thousand people. Apart from this, he also shared the video of buildings turning into debris on Telegram. It is being told that this Russian attack was targeted at Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. It is extremely cold in Ukraine at the moment and common people use electricity to run sewage and heating systems but now nothing is happening due to black out.
Russia targeted infrastructure
The purpose of the attack by Russia was to demoralize Ukraine and disrupt other facilities along with weapons. The war has been going on for four years and analysts say that Russia has made significant changes in the war this year. This time, on Putin’s orders, the Russian Army is targeting gas infrastructure. Also, now these attacks have become more deadly than before because Russia is launching hundreds of drones and most of them are equipped with cameras which target any building and attack. Apart from this, Ukraine has also carried out many such attacks where Russia has suffered huge losses. Meanwhile, it is being told that an oil tanker and infrastructure was targeted in a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Tuapse port, where a massive fire broke out.
Oil refineries attacked
Many pictures and videos are viral on social media, where flames are visible in the terminal infrastructure and a tanker at the Black Sea port. However, American news agency AP has not been able to confirm this yet. At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, citing intelligence received from Western governments, said that Ukraine’s long-range attacks on refineries in Russia have reduced oil capacity by 20 percent. Oil is very important for Russia’s economy and that is why Ukraine is targeting these refineries so that it can deeply hurt Moscow. At the same time, the new sanctions of the US and the EU aim to cut Moscow’s oil and gas export earnings.
