Maharashtra News: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched a scathing attack on Congress on Sunday. Said that merely by making allegations of vote theft and electoral irregularities, the party will have to face a bigger defeat in the coming elections. He also took a dig at Congress getting only six seats in the recently held Bihar Assembly elections. In a program organized at Chikhalthana in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, he said that Congress should reconnect with the public and work honestly on public interest issues so that it can improve its political position. On this occasion, he inaugurated the new regional office of BJP. Union Minister Raosaheb Danve, Minister of State Atul Save, Pankaja Munde, Meghna Bordikar and MP Bhagwat Karad were also present in the program. He said that Congress will have to stop making baseless allegations.
Congress will lose in local elections also
Said that Rahul raises issues like vote theft and EVMs, but when the court or Election Commission asks for evidence, he fails to provide it. If Congress does not improve its approach then my guess is that it will have to face a similar defeat in the upcoming local elections. The chief minister lashed out at Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray over his party’s recent agitation, especially over the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar water pipeline project, and claimed that the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government had stopped the important project. He said that we have done extensive development work including water pipeline scheme in Marathwada region. Local leaders contacted me and said that the civic body cannot afford its share of Rs 800 crore. Therefore the state government decided to bear the cost.
Sambhajinagar becomes center of employment
The chief minister said Thackeray had visited villages during his tour of Marathwada earlier this month, but there were no people attending his meetings. Which shows that people have lost faith in him. Regarding the upcoming municipal elections, Fadnavis urged party leaders to form alliances wherever it proves beneficial. But even if there is no alliance, we should remember that the parties that are currently fighting against us were once our allies, he said. Fadnavis said that Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has become a center of employment generation for thousands of people. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is turning into the EV capital of India. He said the government has provided Rs 740 crore for land acquisition and expansion of the local airport. The Chief Minister said that about 70 percent of the compensation given to farmers affected by floods and excessive rains has already been deposited in their bank accounts.
