ED Raid on Al Falah University: Enforcement Directorate is raiding Al Falah University and its premises in Faridabad since this morning. This raid is being conducted in connection with the investigation of terror financing.

ED Raid on Al Falah University: Al Falah University, which became a hub of terrorism in the Delhi blasts, is now the target of central agencies. The Enforcement Directorate has raided Al Falah University and its premises in Faridabad this morning. Sources said that the Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday started a search against Faridabad’s Al Falah University, its promoters and people associated with it as part of the investigation into the terrorist blast that took place in the Red Fort area. Sources said that teams of the Federal Investigation Agency have been raiding 25 university locations in Delhi-NCR since morning.
Raids going on since 5 am
Tro said that the search started around 5 am and the trustees of the university are also being raided. Many ED teams have been deployed since morning, from Delhi’s Jamia Nagar and Okhla Vihar to the University Campus in Faridabad. According to sources, officials involved in the investigation say that ED has seized important documents, bank records, laptops, mobile phones and many digital devices from the spot. The operation is going on and raids are expected at other places also by the evening.

ED is investigating terror financing
In view of the raid, Delhi Police and local administration have increased security in the concerned areas. No arrest has been confirmed yet, but agency sources say that big revelations may be made in the coming days. The agency is investigating the finance and alleged terror financing links in this case. So far, the NIA has arrested two people, who are allegedly close associates of “suicide bomber” Dr. Omar Nabi. Al Falah University is located in Dhauj area of Faridabad district in Haryana near Delhi and is a medical college-cum-hospital.
Summons sent to university chairman
Last Monday, Delhi Police sent two summons to the chairman of Al-Falah University for forgery and fraud in connection with the Faridabad terrorist module case. Based on the complaint of the University Grants Commission (UGC), two cases of forgery and fraud have been registered against the university.
