Bihar Election 2025: Congress had a very bad performance in Bihar elections and now the party has issued a notice to the leaders and sought answers. This notice has been given to those leaders who had made statements going beyond the party line.
Bihar Election 2025 : Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: Congress had seen a very disappointing performance and now Congress has issued a notice to the leaders involved in anti-party activities. The State Congress Disciplinary Committee has issued show cause notices to 43 leaders, including former ministers, who made statements different from the party line. All these 43 leaders include former minister Veena Shahi, AICC member Madhurendra Kumar Singh, former state Congress general secretary Kaiser Khan, former MLA Sudhir Kumar and former MLC Ajay Kumar Singh. It is being said that the elections have been affected due to leaders giving statements going beyond the party line.
Leaders will be taken seriously
President of the Disciplinary Committee of Bihar Congress, Kapil Dev Prasad Yadav said that all the leaders have been instructed to give their answers in writing before the committee by the afternoon of 21st November. He said that if any response is not received from his side, the committee will be forced to take action, which will include expulsion from the primary membership of the party for 6 years. The committee said that discipline and unity are most important for the party and any attempt to harm them will be taken seriously. The State Congress Disciplinary Committee further said that party discipline and unity is the top priority. Also, people who cause harm to the party will be taken seriously.
The party could win only 6 seats
Let us tell you that the performance of Congress in Bihar elections was very poor and the Grand Alliance could not do much. Actually, Congress contested elections on 61 seats, but could win only 6 seats. It is being told that the internal discord of Congress has caused the most damage in the elections. From seat distribution to deciding the election campaign, internal strife in the party has caused damage. This is the reason why Bihar Congress has issued a notice to 43 leaders including the former minister and has clearly said that if a reply is not received then it will be taken seriously. Also, it has been asked to respond to the notice in writing by 12 noon on November 21, 2025.
