Bihar News: NDA took oath today after getting a huge majority in Bihar. During this, Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time.

Bihar News : Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time on Thursday after NDA got a huge majority in Bihar. Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar congratulated and said that he is confident that the new NDA government in the state will accelerate the progress of Bihar as compared to the previous one. It will also help in making India a ‘developed India’. 74 year old Nitish Kumar took oath in a grand ceremony organized in Patna. During this, senior leaders of the alliance including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers of NDA ruled states also participated.

Jaishankar congratulated

Foreign Minister Jaishankar made a post from his X account, in which he heartily congratulated Nitish Kumar on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time. Apart from this, Jaishankar congratulated the ministers who took over as ministers along with Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha. The Union Minister further said that we all are confident that the new NDA government will accelerate the progress of Bihar and help us in making it developed. Let us tell you that apart from Nitish Kumar, 26 ministers also took oath on this occasion, in which 14 from BJP, 8 from JDU, 2 from LJP(RV), 1 from HAM and 1 from RLM.

Have been in power for 19 years

Apart from this, Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha have been selected as Deputy CMs and they also held the post of Deputy Chief Minister in the previous government. In Bihar, NDA has won 202 seats in the 243-member assembly. In this, BJP won 89 seats and JDU won 85 seats. On the other hand, smaller ally LJP(RV) won 19 seats, HAM-S won 5 and RLM won 4 seats. Nitish Kumar said that he is a member of the Legislative Council and did not contest the assembly elections. He is one of the 10 longest serving CMs of the country and has been in power for 19 years.
