Parliament Winter Session: The winter session has been very noisy so far and the opposition MPs are creating a lot of ruckus to debate on SIR. Meanwhile, the day of 1st December became a day of commotion.

Parliament Winter Session : It is the second day of the winter session of Parliament and after the commencement of the proceedings of the House, the opposition MPs started creating a huge ruckus over SIR. Even before this, the session of December 1 was marred by uproar. Many opposition leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, protested at the Parliament House Complex on Tuesday and demanded discussion on election reforms. Apart from this, the leaders were holding posters and placards against the SIR of Voter Roll. They also had a big banner on which ‘SIR Stop – Stop Vote Stealing’ was written and they raised slogans against the government.

Opposition walked out of the House

On the first day of the winter session, the Lok Sabha was repeatedly adjourned demanding a debate on SIR and the opposition walked out of the Rajya Sabha, while the government said it had no problem with the discussion. But no timeline can be fixed. Addressing the media before the start of the Parliament session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday targeted the opposition and alleged that they are making it a warm-up arena for the Parliament elections or a means to vent out frustration after defeat and offered tips to bring positivity in politics.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said there is a thin line between reporting fraud and violating people’s privacy and the recent order is a blatant violation of privacy. This is not just telephone spying. Overall, he is pushing towards dictatorship.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that now the opposition needs to find new issues. We have prepared a list of tasks for the development of the country which contains many important issues. He said that we are ready to debate on the issue of opposition also and will see how to move ahead. Also, they should no longer disturb the Parliament session and should take part in the debate. The Union Minister said that if you use these issues as weapons then it is not right at all. He told that we will discuss with the opposition leaders and we are in touch with them.
