IND vs SA T20: Good news has emerged for the Indian team before the T-20 series against South Africa to be held from 9 December. Shubman Gill has joined the team and he has also reached Bhubaneswar with the team.
IND vs SA T20: After the end of the Test and ODI series against South Africa, Shubman Gill has joined the Indian team to play the five-match T20 series. The first T20 match will be played between India and South Africa in Cuttack and Indians are very happy with the news of Gill’s return in this match. Gill is ready to play international cricket once again after four weeks. Earlier, he had to stay in rehab and after getting the fitness certificate from COE, BCCI gave him permission to play international matches. Let us tell you that he suffered a neck injury during the first test match against South Africa in Kolkata and he had to be admitted to the hospital.
Passed fitness test in rehab
After the injury, Shubman Gill was sent to BCCI’s Center of Excellence (COE) for rehab. During this, he had to undergo progressive batting sessions, fitness drills and ground conditioning. The medical team said that Shubhman Gill fulfilled all the standards that a player fulfills after getting injured. Now the CEO has declared him fit to play all three formats. Meanwhile, the team has left for Bhubaneswar and a video of it has also surfaced on social in which Shubhman Gill is also sitting in a bus along with Abhishek Sharma. After this video went viral, the fans are very happy and are hoping that the Indian team’s batting against South Africa will look much stronger than before.
Team India misses Gill
Shubman Gill was greatly missed in the Indian team during the Test series and South Africa made a clean sweep in this series. However, making a comeback in ODIs, Team India won the three-match series 2-1. Now Gill’s presence in the line-up can have a huge impact in the T-20 series. Let us tell you that the first T-20 match will be played between India and South Africa on 9 December. The command of this T-20 has been handed over to Suryakumar Yadav and he has been undefeated till now. Under his captaincy, Team India has won most of the matches. Apart from this, it was under his captaincy that India won the T-20 World Cup 2024 by defeating South Africa in the final. In such a situation, the first T-20 match becomes very important. The match will start at around 7 pm and the toss will take place about half an hour before the start of the match.
