Rs 500 Crore Remark: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday slammed Congress leader Navjot Kaur Sidhu’s statement of Rs 500 crore for the post of CM. He said that Navjot Kaur’s mental balance has deteriorated and she needs to be admitted to the hospital. Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of former Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu, had claimed on Saturday that the person who gives a suitcase worth Rs 500 crore becomes the Chief Minister. After this statement, BJP and AAP started attacking Congress and criticized the party fiercely.

After Navjot Kaur Sidhu’s statement of Rs 500 crore, Shivkumar said that she should be admitted to a mental hospital. Navjot Kaur had also said that if Congress declares her husband as the chief ministerial face of the party in Punjab before the assembly elections to be held in 2027, then she will once again start working actively for Congress. He said that at present he does not have money to give to any party, but he can make Punjab a gold state. After meeting Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Saturday, Navjot Kaur discussed the alleged poor law and order situation in the state. While talking to the media, he said that we always speak for Punjab and Punjabiyat, but we do not have Rs 500 crore which we can give to sit on the Chief Minister’s chair.
