Shock to Hindu side regarding Gyanvapi Vaju Khana!

Gyanvapi Dispute: The Hindu side has suffered a major setback in the Varanasi court. The Hindu side had filed a petition in the court demanding replacement of the cloth tied on the lock on the bathroom, which has now been rejected.

Gyanvapi Dispute: In the district court of Varanasi, the petition to change the cloth on the lock of Shringaar Gauri and Gyanvapi was rejected. This cloth was tied to the lock on the toilet, for which a petition was filed to change it. Advocate Madan Mohan Yadav, appearing for the Hindu side, said that District Judge Sanjeev Shukla rejected the petition seeking replacement of the cloth on the lock of the sealed Wazukhana (a place for washing hands and face before namaz). Also said that since this matter is pending in the Supreme Court, the district court has no right to give any order on this issue.

No violation of SC instructions

The Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991 is currently being heard in the Supreme Court. On this, Madan Mohan said that last December, the Supreme Court had directed the lower court that as long as the matter is pending before it, no new case should be accepted nor should any order be passed which would affect the proceedings going on in the apex court. As per the directions of the apex court, the Wajukhana area of Gyanvapi Masjid was sealed on 16-17 May 2022 after a court-ordered survey conducted by the Civil Judge of Varanasi. It was being said that the condition of the cloth tied on the lock had deteriorated with time. Also, to prevent any major incident, the Hindu side had sought permission to change it on August 8, which has now been rejected by the court.

This is how the lock was sealed

Let us tell you that the Gyanvapi Complex located near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple was the center of a long-running legal dispute between the Hindu and Muslim parties over the claims of the existence of a temple structure beneath the mosque. Let us tell you that on May 16, 2022, after the Supreme Court’s confirmation, on the orders of Civil Judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar, a lock was put to seal the Gyanvapi complex, on which a cloth was also tied. After this, during the action of the Advocate Commissioner on behalf of the special counsel appointed by the state government in the month of August, the cloth tied on the lock installed to seal the pond had become quite useless and after that the Hindu side had demanded to replace it.
