Ayodhya festival lights: Kicking off the grand celebration of Deepotsav 2025, Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh flagged off a Ramayana-themed tableau in Ayodhya.

Ayodhya festival lights: Inaugurating the grand celebration of Deepotsav 2025, Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh flagged off the Ramayana themed tableau in Ayodhya. Starting from Saket College campus, these 22 tableaux passed through Rampath, to see which a crowd of devotees gathered on the roadside. The entire atmosphere echoed with slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Equipped with modern technology and vibrant characters, these tableaux beautifully depicted the life and journey of Lord Rama through the seven chapters of Ramayana, from Balakand to Uttarkand. This grand procession increased the enthusiasm of Deepotsav manifold. He told that in each tableau a story was told through music, dance and theatrical performances. Extending good wishes on behalf of the state government, Singh extended Diwali greetings to all the citizens and followers of Sanatan Dharma across the world.

More than 2,100 scholars will participate in Saryu Aarti

He said that the Uttar Pradesh government is organizing the ninth edition of Deepotsav with unparalleled grandeur and devotion, reflecting both divine and cultural excellence. He said that Ayodhya breaks its own records every year and sets new standards of celebration. Three new records will be set this year. Record number of lamps will be lit. 1,100 drones will perform simultaneously and more than 2,100 scholars will participate simultaneously in Saryu Aarti. Expressing confidence in India’s spiritual and cultural leadership, the Minister said that our nation will lead the world and emerge as a developed country by realizing the ideals of Ram Rajya. Officials said that the tableau of the Information Department showed the achievements of the Adityanath government in the state.

Devotees showered flowers on the procession

According to a statement issued by the government, the demonstrations were “a perfect blend of development and culture”, reflecting a modern Uttar Pradesh progressing in line with the ideals of Ram Rajya. As the procession passed through the Rampath, devotees showered flowers, lit lamps and performed aarti, while groups of artistes enlivened the atmosphere with devotional music and dance. The statement said folk performances like Phag of Haryana, Kathakali of Kerala, Jhumar of Rajasthan, Bhangra of Punjab, Sambalpuri of Odisha and traditional arts of West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh added a vibrant national flavor to the festival. On this occasion, former Lok Sabha MP Lallu Singh, Ayodhya Mayor Mahant Girish Pati Tripathi, MLA Ramchandra Yadav, MLA Ved Prakash Gupta, MLA Chandrabhanu Paswan and many other BJP leaders were also present.
