Maharashtra Politics: After Bihar, now the opposition has called for a huge rally against the Election Commission regarding the improvement in the voter list. Apart from Thackeray Bhai, Congress and NCP (SP) can also participate in this rally.

Maharashtra Politics : After opposing SIR in Bihar, the opposition is now going to protest in Maharashtra also demanding removal of fake voters. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said on Sunday that the opposition party in Maharashtra will organize a massive rally on November 1 and demand the Election Commission to remove about one crore fake voters from the voter list. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Bala Nandgaonkar, NCP (SP) leader Jayant Patil and Congress’s Sachin Sawant also attended the press conference held at Sena Bhawan. During this, Sanjay Raut cited the claim of MNS President Raj Thackeray that about 96 lakh fake voters have been added to the voter list of Maharashtra ahead of the local body elections.

There should be a huge rally against EC: Opposition

The opposition in Maharashtra has demanded that the Election Commission remove about one crore fake voters from the voter list of the state. He said that ruling party MLAs Manda Mhatra (BJP) and Sanjay Gaikwad (Shiv Sena) have also talked about duplication of voters and irregularities in the voter list and the voter list should be clean. Apart from the ruling parties, all the parties are continuously raising this issue and the Election Commission is not at all ready to accept that there is any flaw in the voters list. Now the last option left is to shock the Election Commission by taking to the streets and raising voice against it. Now we have decided that on November 1, all the opposition parties should take out a huge rally in Mumbai against the corrupt acts of the Election Commission.

Improvement in voter list becomes a big issue

He further said that lakhs of people who have lost their voting rights will take to the streets and show their strength. He said that the rally will be led by NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS’s Raj Thackeray. He further said that invitations will also be sent to senior Congress leaders. Raut said that Pawar and Thackeray brothers will hold a joint press conference in the coming days on this matter. The Rajya Sabha MP further said that if the Election Commission poses any challenge to us, then we are fully ready to accept it. Earlier, Raj Thackeray had alleged that 96 lakh fake voters have been added to the voter list in Maharashtra and challenged the Election Commission and said that this list should be improved and only then local body elections should be conducted.
