Tamil Nadu News : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin said that even though his party and Congress had once moved forward on different paths, they are now standing on the same side in the interest of the country. The DMK chief mentioned his cordial relations with Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and said that Rahul Gandhi treats him like an elder brother. Chief Minister Stalin was speaking at the wedding ceremony of the son of a Congressman from Virudhunagar district here. He further said that it is important to tell that at one time DMK and Congress had adopted different paths, but today for the welfare of the country, development of Tamil Nadu and unity of India, we stand on the same side and are moving forward with the same ideology.

call me dear brother

He said that he cannot express in words the love shown by Rahul Gandhi. I have not addressed other political leaders as brother. But whenever I address Rahul Gandhi, I address him as brother. This is the reason why he treats me like an elder brother. Whenever he talks to me, whether on the phone or face to face, he calls me dear brother. I can never forget all those things. He said that it was not just a political friendship, but an ideological relationship which had resonance across the country. We expect similar sentiments from everyone. This friendship will continue while giving priority to the welfare of the country. Understanding and ideological relations between these two political movements will secure the future of this country. He further said that he urged the newlyweds to keep beautiful Tamil names for their children.

Now SIR issue heated up in Tamil Nadu

Let us tell you that Chief Minister Stalin has made serious allegations against BJP and AIADMK. He said that both these parties are trying to win the elections by snatching the voting rights of the people through SIR. The Election Commission has announced to conduct SIR in Tamil Nadu and the DMK chief reacted to this by saying that by using this process in Bihar, the voting rights of 65 lakh people were taken away. Now the BJP-AIADMK alliance wants to do the same in Tamil Nadu. CM Stalin said that BJP and its ally party are thinking that they can win the assembly elections by any means by removing the votes of Dalits, minorities and women, but the people of Tamil Nadu know how to respond at any level.
