This work of ICC brought disgrace to Pakistan again?

T20 World Cup 2025: Before the start of T20 World Cup 2026, a new controversy has come to light. It is being told that ICC has not included the photo of Pakistan captain in the promotional poster.

T20 World Cup 2025 : The PCB is very angry with the International Cricket Council (ICC) due to the absence of Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha in the promotional poster released for the sale of tickets for the upcoming T20 World Cup. A PCB source said that the matter was taken up with the ICC because the poster featured pictures of only five captains and included Suryakumar Yadav (India), Mitchell Marsh (Australia), Aiden Markram (South Africa), Harry Brook (England) and Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka). At the same time, due to the absence of captain Agha’s picture on the poster, PCB has raised this issue directly with ICC and has emphasized the importance of representation in global tournaments.

There is no place in the top five teams

Sources further said that ICC told PCB that we had to face a similar situation during the first Asia Cup last month. During that time the broadcasters had started publicity without the picture of our captain and this time also something similar is being seen. He told that such a change has been seen after PCB talked to ACC. He further said that even though Pakistan is not ranked among the top five teams in the ICC T20 rankings, it has a history in cricket and is the most attention-grabbing team in the World Cup. He also hopes that ICC will definitely include the Pakistani captain in the promotional posters and campaigns.

Ticket prices start from Rs 100

ICC Chief Executive Officer Sanjog Gupta told media persons that the journey of ticket sales so far has proved to be an important milestone. He said that our vision for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is very clear that every fan should get the opportunity to experience world-class cricket in the stadium, irrespective of their background and financial status. Sanjog Gupta said that with tickets starting at just Rs 100 and Rs 1000, we are keeping affordability at the center of our strategy. This tournament with 20 teams and 55 matches will prove to be the most ambitious and inclusive T-20 World Cup in history.
