Mother Sita and Dashrath Katha: Lord Rama’s wife Mother Sita herself was the incarnation of Mother Lakshmi. When Ravana had abducted Mother Sita, if she wanted, she could have incinerated her with just her sight, but she did not do so. Whenever Ravana came near Mother Sita after abduction, he would not dare to touch Mother Sita. As soon as Ravana arrived, Mother Sita used to pick up a blade of grass. There is a big secret hidden behind this, which is related to King Dasharatha. Actually, Mother Sita was bound by a promise given to her father-in-law King Dasharatha, which had prevented her from using her powers and saved Ravana’s life.

When Mother Sita came to her in-laws’ house after getting married, she prepared kheer in her first kitchen ritual. At the time of serving kheer to everyone, suddenly a strong wind started blowing. At the same time, a blade of grass got into King Dasharatha’s kheer. This was a dilemma for her because she could not take it out with her hands, so she started looking at that blade of grass very carefully without blinking. Due to the power of his vision that straw flew away and was burnt to ashes. At that time everyone was handling their food, but King Dasharatha saw Mother Sita doing so.
King Dashrath got scared of his daughter-in-law
King Dasharatha got scared after seeing this. He understood that his daughter-in-law Sita was not an ordinary woman but a divine power herself. Later, King Dashrath called Mother Sita to his room and told her, ‘I saw your miracle today during dinner. You are the mother of the world. He took a promise from Mother Sita that she would never look at her enemy the way you looked at that blade of grass today. Mother Sita also promised to do the same.

According to Ramayana, Ravana had kept Mother Sita in Ashoka Vatika. Whenever Ravana came to Mother Sita, she became very angry, but because of the promise given to King Dasharatha, she could not do anything. That’s why she used to pick up a straw in front of Ravana and burn it into ashes. Seeing this, Ravana got scared and could not muster the courage to touch them. Therefore, even after abducting him, he could not touch Mother Sita and Mother did not use her powers.
