What is its mythology?
According to mythology, Vrinda, wife of demon king Jalandhar, was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. When Lord Vishnu killed Jalandhar, he got angry and cursed Lord Vishnu that he would be worshiped in the form of a stone. Since then Lord Vishnu is worshiped in the form of Shaligram. Later Vrinda left her body and was born as a Tulsi plant. Lord Vishnu married Tulsi to honor him and since then the holy festival of Tulsi Vivah is celebrated.
Ways to remove obstacles in marriage
If your or any member of your family’s marriage is getting delayed, then add a pinch of turmeric in water before bathing on the day of Tulsi Vivah. After this, wear clean clothes and worship Tulsi Mata and Shaligram. After the puja, offer a paste of turmeric or milk mixed with turmeric on Tulsi at the time of puja. By doing this, the planet Jupiter becomes stronger and chances of marriage are created soon.
