Ram Vilas Vedanti Passed Away: Saint and former BJP MP Ram Vilas Vedant ji, who played a major role in the Ram Mandir movement, has passed away. At the age of 75, he breathed his last in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. For the last several days, he was undergoing treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Rewa. He died this afternoon. Now his mortal remains are being brought to Ayodhya, where he will be given water samadhi in Saryu. Many leaders and saints including CM Yogi have expressed grief over the demise of Vedanti ji.
could not be airlifted
Vedanti ji was in Rewa, MP for the last two days for Ram Katha. When his health deteriorated on Sunday, he was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital. There Vedanti ji suffered a heart attack at midnight, after which preparations were being made to airlift him to Medanta, but due to bad weather and low visibility, the airlift could not be done. He breathed his last around 12:30 in the afternoon.
CM Yogi expressed grief
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed condolences on his demise. He said that the demise of Dr. Ram Vilas Vedanti Ji Maharaj, a prominent figure of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement, former MP and revered saint of Vashishtha Ashram in Ayodhya Dham, is an irreparable loss for the spiritual world and Sanatan culture. Humble tribute to him! An era has ended with his death. His sacrificial life dedicated to the service of religion, society and nation is an inspiration for all of us. We pray to Lord Shri Ram to give peace to the departed soul at his feet and give strength to his bereaved disciples and followers to bear this immense loss. Om Shanti!
Ram Mandir was the main pillar of the movement
Ram Vilas was one of the main pillars of the Vedanti Ram Mandir movements. He was also an MP from Ayodhya and raised his voice for Ram Temple in Parliament. Recently he had demanded from the Central Government and the UP Government to change the names of those roads in Ayodhya which have been named after Muslim rulers. He had said that in Ram’s city there should be streets named after Ram and his ancestors. Here the streets should be named after Raja Dilip, Raja Raghu, Raja Dasharatha.
