Rahul Gandhi News: Before President Putin reached India, tension has started between the party and the opposition. Rahul Gandhi alleged that the government forbids foreign guests from meeting LoP.
Rahul Gandhi News: Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to reach India on Thursday and before that, common people at different places in the country are welcoming him from the bottom of their hearts. Apart from this, the citizens of the country are also performing Aarti by putting his photo. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday alleged that due to its insecurity, the government forbids guests coming from abroad to meet the opposition leader. Gandhi’s comment came a few hours before Russian President Putin’s two-day visit to India. The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha said that it has been a tradition that guests coming from abroad also meet the LoP (Leader of Opposition), but the Central Government is not following this rule.
Forbidden to meet foreign guests
Talking to the report present in the Parliament complex, Rahul Gandhi said that there has been a tradition in the country that when foreign guests come to our country, they meet the LoP. This tradition was also there during the tenure of former Prime Ministers Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh. He further said that currently what is happening is that when foreign guests come and when I go abroad, the government suggests them not to meet LoP. The former Congress President said that this has now become the policy of the Central Government and now they do it every time. Also, when foreign guests come to the country, we come to know that they have been forbidden to meet us.
Central government insecurity
LoP said that the central government has given a different perspective to the country. Without taking Putin’s name, Rahul said that we also represent India, but the government does not want to meet the opposition leaders. He also said that at the behest of Modi government, even the Foreign Ministry does not follow this rule. When he was asked why the central government is doing this, he said that it is the insecurity of the government. President Putin will reach India this evening to hold a summit meeting with Prime Minister Modi. During this time, there can be serious discussions about increasing defense relations, protecting India-Russia trade from external pressure and the possibilities of cooperation in small modular reactors. Apart from this, the focus of the meeting to be held between Modi and Putin on Friday is expected to be closely watched by the western countries.
